Siblings in Your Newborn Session: Tips and Tricks from a Newborn Photographer

As a trusted Baltimore newborn photographer, I understand that you want to capture every precious moment of your new baby's life. And that includes photos with their siblings. I know that getting siblings to cooperate for a photo shoot can be a challenge, but don't worry, I have a few tips to help make it easier.

1. Schedule the session around your siblings' nap times.

This will help ensure that they're well-rested and in a good mood. If your siblings are older, try to schedule the session for a time when they're likely to be cooperative, such as after a nap or after a meal.

2. Bring along a snack or activity to keep them entertained.

This will help keep them occupied while you're setting up for the shoot. Some good options include small toys, books, or snacks that your siblings enjoy.

3. Don't force them to do anything they don't want to do.

If they're not interested in being in a photo, don't push it. Just try again another time. Forcing them to do something they don't want to do will only make them more resistant and less cooperative.

4. Be patient.

It may take a few minutes for your siblings to warm up to the idea of being in a photo together. But with a little patience, you'll be able to get some great shots. Don't rush the process, and take your time to build rapport with your siblings.

5. Make it fun!

Play games, tell jokes, and make your siblings laugh. The more fun they're having, the more likely they are to cooperate.

6. Don't worry about a thing

Our Photoshop experts are skilled at face swaps to make sure that everyone is looking at the camera. You don't need to worry about anything. We'll just make it work.
